'Si' carp at wingham was a cracking effort . In celebration he had a celebration and sent me this picture....A nice new Hair doo :P

Well I thought it was some top angling by Si that weekend, remember he had the second Carp when most of us where really struggling. Top fishing Si :thumbs:

The tail is as in Si's pony tail he has. Platted in celebration in his catch. I mentioned this to Si at wingham and we had a laugh. Maybe it's personal fun between us and others can't see it. i think at times well quite a lot actually that there are some laughs are from moments in time in real surroundings . If you have to explain as in any joke it becomes a bit flat. just trying to inject a bit of humour on last weekends events and failed miserably.

 

The wall bashing Dales was directed at me and not you as i should know better running so many forums how this would come across and i knew it as soon as i posted it so then tried to explain it more but it's usually spades and holes scemarios that enter the fray when you do that..So you can't win.

 

Creating a laugh or joke is a very 'put your head on a block' risk on a forum as many jokes are on the spot jokes as mentioned and although its just lack of understanding which hence the wall and head and it has not been shot down in flames yet but if it is providing Si is OK..( its pay back for my username) but in jest..

 

So there you go but not in this case in perticular but in general that's why i find many forums boring as i know many think of having a laugh ( what a laugh we all had at the fish in...) that it can't be replicated on the webb mainly because i guess there is nothing to be funny about...God...aren't forums a bore!! :rolleyes:

Yes, you're right: humour is subjective and best appreciated first hand. Some of the most entertaining posts though are as a direct result of such misunderstandings.
