We know them as Blue Ringed Octopus, we have them here, altho i've only ever seen one.

 

We have a salt water swimming pool locally and a diver brought one up and got all the kids round and showed

them what it looked like and gave them a lesson on safety at the same time, which i thought was really good of him.

Yup the one and the same, very beautiful creature. You may not even know you have been bitten but twenty minutes later you could be dead.

Is it edible, i'm fond of octopus in red wine and garlic.

 

A very nice Greek family some years ago invited myself and my wife for dinner while on holiday in Greece, twas the best dish of octopus i have had, fresh caught by the son.

New for 2016 TAT are the main instigators for the demise of the u k bass charter boat industry, where they went screaming off to parliament and for the first time assisting so called angling gurus set up bass take bans with the e u using rubbish exaggerated info collected by ices from anglers, they must be very proud.

Upgrade, the door has been closed with regards to anglers being linked to the e u superstate and the failed c f p. So TAT will no longer need to pay monies to the EAA anymore as that org is no longer relevant to the u k . Goodbye to the europeon anglers alliance and pathetic restrictions from the e u.

Angling is better than politics, ban politics from angling.

Consumer of bass. where is the evidence that the u k bass stock need angling trust protection. Why won't you work with your peers instead of castigating them. They have the answer.

Angling sanitation trust and kent and sussex sea anglers org delete's and blocks rsa's alternative opinion on their face book site. Although they claim to rep all.

I know its not the thing to do !, but i do prefer the young octopus, IMHO it seems much more tastier that its older counterpart.

 

I also like it with new potato's and some nice greek salad.

Andrew, 25g of blue ringed octopus contain enough tetrodotoxin to kill 25 fully grown adult men.

I often used to pull some nice octop[i up out on the boat, buggers to keep though, any little hole and they are gone. Solved it with a nice box with a clip close top.
