What a plank, how much money did the bloke get for writing this dirge. One of the best time for us anglers top channel is when the COD not codling come down the north sea, and down the channel to play mothers and fathers early winter. We don't see hundreds of angler catches of 20-30 lb-ders as they are mid water chacing the sprat. Now and again we get lucky and there are FACTUAL reports of the odd lunker caught by anglers. Now i also know that there are very many large COD on the move because i also have mates in the commercial sector who target these at a particular time of year and i have seen thier catches, every year. So, is this roberts geezer trying to make a name for himself. Perhaps the COD we see are coming from another direction then.

Free to choose apart from the ones where the trust poked their nose in. Common eel. tope. Bass and sea bream. All restricted.

New for 2016 TAT are the main instigators for the demise of the u k bass charter boat industry, where they went screaming off to parliament and for the first time assisting so called angling gurus set up bass take bans with the e u using rubbish exaggerated info collected by ices from anglers, they must be very proud.

Upgrade, the door has been closed with regards to anglers being linked to the e u superstate and the failed c f p. So TAT will no longer need to pay monies to the EAA anymore as that org is no longer relevant to the u k . Goodbye to the europeon anglers alliance and pathetic restrictions from the e u.

Angling is better than politics, ban politics from angling.

Consumer of bass. where is the evidence that the u k bass stock need angling trust protection. Why won't you work with your peers instead of castigating them. They have the answer.

Recipie's for mullet stew more than welcomed.

Angling sanitation trust and kent and sussex sea anglers org delete's and blocks rsa's alternative opinion on their face book site. Although they claim to rep all.

new for 2014. where is the evidence that the south coast bream stock need the angling trust? Your campaign has no evidence. Why won't you work with your peers, the inshore under tens? As opposed to alienating them? Angling trust failed big time re bait digging, even fish legal attempted to intervene and failed, all for what, nothing.

Looks like the sea angling reps have been coerced by the ifca's to compose sea angling strategy's that the ifca's at some stage will look at drafting into legislation to manage the rsa, because they like wasting tax payers money. That's without asking the rsa btw. You know who you are..

Now let’s see if I have got this right, you have a problem with the impact on the winter Bass stock and in particular the pair trawling on the breeding stock in the Channel. Yet your 'mates' your happy to report are catching lunker Cod while they make their way to their normal breading grounds and you don’t have a problem with that? TBH I’m not surprised given your track record with regard your 'mates'.

What does surprise me though is how you can rubbish a report that you haven’t studied or likely haven't even read and yet you call the man who has a plank?

no you got it wrong, get lost. quote: Many sea anglers consider bass stocks around the UK to be over-fished. The current assessment published by ICES, which is based only on UK commercial fishery data, paints a different picture - of an expanding stock being fished sustainably. ....................................................................

And as confirmed with one of your boardroom directors, Steve Coppolo:

Bob, are you serious? Or are you just on another wind up to try to stimulate debate? I need an answer before I comment any further.

Steve Coppolo What I am saying, Bob, is if you have no idea how many cod there were in the 1920's, 1930's and beyond, how can you make comparisons and deduce that stocks are low now? Or are you falling into the same stupidity trap that all the other a...holes have fallen into and just making your compaisions to the 60's gadoid outburst? If so, can you use the same logic and explain to me why England haven't won the world cup since 1966?

And reffering to another site you have been kicked off from:

Bill Thirkle geeeeeeeee-up. by the sound of it, booby has been nicking knowledge from WSF on the subject.

And just to make pepole aware how callous, deluded and totally morally corrupt you have become, here is your comment on another matter where the person was standing up in the house making comments on the coastguard, there was applaude from cross party btw, yet Bob Shotter states : "The one out of order is the uncaring callous old crow who sought to score a political point on the back of her husband’s death. Not something one would expect from a grieving widow....................................

quote: There was praise from all sides when the Tory MP Sheryll Murray spoke eloquently in the Commons about the UK's threatened coastguard service, telling the House: "It is because of those people that fishermen's wives such as myself sleep a little better at night."

Just three hours later, she received a text from coastguards in her South East Cornwall constituency to say that her husband Neil's trawler, Our Boy Andrew, was overdue and a search had begun.

No answer to the quote then just a load of unrelated post the first of which you have wrong in any event (weren’t Steve that said it mush) seems you can’t read let alone speak with any authority on how many Cod there are in the North Sea.

For those interested there is a debate on the issue to which this topic refers on our facebook page http://www.facebook.com/home.php?sk=group_209076062455077 you will then be able to judge for yourself how I both view the matter and admit to playing devil’s advocate. The reason for which is IMPO it is a bad move for sea anglers to go off on one about a report that they have not read let alone investigated.

This is what Cefas has to say on the matter.

http://www.cefas.defra.gov.uk/news/web-sto...th-sea-cod.aspx

paul.

Paul you and your fellow Whitby skippers fish an area of the North Sea predominately targeting Cod so how many lunkers in the 25 to 30+lbs (10 to 12 year class) fish get landed by your customers, compared to the 10 to 15lb (six to seven year class) fish?

Be careful big cod, the man is on a wind up. He alone throughout the uk is of the opinion that the sea has been cleared out of cod over a certain age and it's all the commercials fault. No one in the uk supports him, he has lost support this week of the Steve Coppolo, wonder why and the only out come will be damage to the industry, both commercial and rsa. Reports of an improving north sea cod stock is also dismissed

He forgets, ignores reports of cod fishing on his copy and past site rodbenders, even ignoring the report of the largest cod in the channel this year. On this site there's a certain Dave Barham promoting 20lb cod on a video, he missed that one example and there's plenty more.

Looking forward to the COD around the isle of wight this winter, according to shotter and cullen roberts it ain't gonna happen.

A twenty pound Cod (11 to 15 years old) is what was seen as a middle aged Cod in the North Sea years ago still is in parts of the North Atlantic and the Norwegian Sea. What Cefas are saying is that there a few real adults the old 30 to 40lb + lunkers (18 to 23 years old) that’s the sort of size that was the norm caught by RSA around the IOW when I was a lad. You might see half a dozen caught this year but where are the forty pounders that they used to get?

I might mention Paul that the man sucking up to you is the same guy who wanted a front row seat in court if and when you get nicked for being a party to the sale of fish from a charter boat.
