I'll happily apologize for any bad actions I committed prior to 1940. I suspect Vagabond will gladly do the same as long as the cut off date is prior to 1850.

have a look on the web there are several Livingston's in the world the nearest to Livingston New town (as it was set up as in 1962 )

 

is Livingston Village which is near the Old Livingston Toll then there is the world famous Livingston louisiana usa famous for

The Roundheads would certainly have much to answer for if they were still aroung.

 

However, given their general attitude, getting them to admit they were not perfectly in the right would be nigh impossible.

Dunno about that, the general attitude of Roundheads today is pretty much on the level.

Sadly it seems that the irony in my previous note was missed. The fact that Brown is a Scot was foremost in my mind when I suggested that the Prime Minister of England should apologise.

never mentioned Livingstone (i presume) ,i presumed it was a corruption of stone (as in longstone ) i still do as the village has celtic roots (well the name does) but seeing its murdochston now perhaps not

a lot of my mums ancestors came from haddington so perhaps one or two are in that grave because we're a annoying lot so probably dragged off as we stood jeering

A pub that I sometimes visit is frequented by members of the Sealed Knot Society.

 

Roundheads and Cavaliars drinking together at the same table with their wenches, and never any trouble.
