Kirisute will probably be able to correct me if I'm wrong, wouldn't CS?? just be CS? with extra's added to the original software. I can't believe they have to write up the whole package for each new version.

OK they have to make a living, I frequent a few Photographic forums and a similar idea was put forward. You buy a Basic CS? and then have the option to pay and download other features such as Repousse 3D. That way you'd have a package you'd use and could afford, rather than the whole package with all the bells and whistles.

No doubt someone from Adobe will soon be along soon to tell me I shouldn't take up Market managing for a living lol

The base system hasn't changed since the original CS which added gpu hardware acceleration which was the biggest step forwards, especially with 3d rendering in cs2.

The rest of the CS series could be considered just upgrades; but to be fair it's the same with all major software brands...the jump from office 2010 to 2013 is, in real terms, mostly cosmetic and a few system tweaks. They could be added with updates etc

As for pricing then yeah alot more would purchase if the price was lower or you could grab decent upgrade prices...but to be fair adobes primary sales market is business and graphics studios...so multi computer licenses and suchlike rather than one user bases at home.
