I could be completely wrong, but if you can reduce the original in size to 90x90 pix and make sure it is still animated it might work when added as an avatar...

It is a conundrum.

I guess the forum software stops animated gifs. Probably because it would look a bit mad if there was a page of posts all from members with them :)

There should be a setting in IPB to allow animated gifs. Its either not working as it should or Judy has to re-upload the gif as the forum software has created a separate thumbnail for posts than that used in the profile. when its resized/created a seperate thumb animations have been lost.

 

See the file name of the topic avatar has thumbnail in it but the profile avatar doesnt.

 

 

if its turned off Elton and you turn it on then im certain judy will need to re-upload.
