Good for you, take Chris up on his offer, his wife helped me out with a nice little plate a few months ago and it turned out to be a worth more than I paid for it.

 

What I do is do a search on ebay for what I have and do a price check there with similar articles up for sale.

 

"Dealers will offer you a decent price for the job lot knowing that just one article will more than repay there outlay" Steer clear.

 

Sotherby will give you a price guide for free, just make an apointment with there appropriate expert. If it is too big to cart around they will send an expert to you if your description makes it sound interesting.

 

If you have any Delft ware (blue and white mainly) let me know what the mark is on the bottom and I may be able to help. Keep in mind that Delft Blue is just the process employed to produce the porcelain, it can and is made all over the world but is still Delft blue.
