just switched my pc back on ,usually there is no log on screen this time there was BUT no users to click on :confused: .

restarted and f8 and set it to boot in last good configeration ,it started exactly the same no users to click on :confused:

system restored to 6.30 this evening (it was working ok then) same again no users to click on so can go no further :confused:

fine when restored to 2 days ago ,i havent changed any settings nor loaded or unloaded new programs

why this oddity :(:)

Your restore must have had only one user,

XP automatically runs without showing the login screen.

 

Check "User Accounts" for the no of accounts.

If there's one account (except for Admin or Guest)

check that it has a password.

This can occur if you manage to delete all user accounts , or if you upgrade from earlier versions of Wind0$e :rolleyes:

 

For home

start in safe mode (f8) , run User Accounts & create 1 or more accounts.

only me as admin ,no password,it was an upgrade from 98 but has been fine for a week or more ,never actually entered any inf on the account screen it seems to have done ot automaticly ,why ok at 6 but not at 9 oclock :confused: :D

6.p.m. Mothership lands, between 6 & 9 you got checked out bigtime... wouldn't be at all surprised if you don't remember any of this tomorrow.
