Kitchen cooking mess

Alan Taylor:

Hi all, this may seem a bit mundane compared to some of the active topics but I have a serious question.

Our cooker is next to the draining board, now when Sonja has used a utensil she puts it on the draining board every time she puts it down. This winds me up when the packaging from the food is there to place the utensils on so avoiding a lot of fat, grease, oil etc.

Question, have any of you seen a product on the market that can stand on the draining board so she can hang the dirty utensils up with the drips going into a cleanable tray?

Tough durable plastic and easily cleaned so no hinges or open spaces.

Cheers

Just give her one utensil,

a plastic fork/spoon/stirrer combined.

Now this is where it gets technical.....

.

.

Make a hole in the handle,

thread some string in and hang it around her neck

You guys crack me up at times :D thanks for the responses, the reason for the topic was 2 fold.

A serious request for kitchen tool and secondly to try and lighten things up a bit on here. :P

Thanks for the responses.

Sad, but all totally true. I forgot one other, she made some fish cakes, the recipe called for 4oz of mashed potato, she put in a pound and a half. They ended up as potato cakes whiffing slightly of fish  . But if there is any room in the house for her to be useless in - I would rather it was the kitchen

Salar, you must love her dearly :) I take it you only cook in the kitchen :D

As for the link above, I will read it fully on Sunday. I can't understand it, this is my computer, it was a birthday present and Sonja keeps popping in to see if she can play a game while the dinner is cooking. For crying out loud I have more important things to do on AN

Mrs Salar, you are a very clever woman :D:D

Which reminds me of a true story from Oz:

A radio station were running a competition where they got a husband and wife to phone in seperately and answer questions - if the answers matched they won a holiday. So the chap phones in (off air) and is asked when he last made love to his wife, answer, that morning, where, answer a quickie over the kitchen table.

Then the wife phones in (on air) - when did you last make love - answer, that morning (OK so far), then where,

"Oh I couldn't possibly, my mother might be listening etc etc"

"Oh go on go on etc etc"

(stil live on air remember)

"Oh all right then...up the ar****"

Silence.

I was told they were given the holiday anyway.
