Perch Weight

Theres no way of guessing an answer to that one.

A 1lb River Perch will be longer than a 1Lb Stillwater Perch. Tell your friend to invest in a set of scales. It would certainly help matters.

Hi

I have posted the picture of the said perch on

http://www.go-fishing.org/upload/files/DSCF0045.JPG

Yes I should invest in scales and now that I have caught a fish bigger that my normal 5 inch roach, I think it will be soon.

Catching that perch and the next day a 15 inch Tench has given me the fishing bug to go more than the once a year that I usually do.

Nice fish Mick

May I be so bold as to suggest buying a landing mat too if you don't already have one?

A dry tea towel will soak some of that protective slime off our fishy friends and also opens the way for injury and infection.

Caring for our fish means they'll grow on to be even better sport in the future.

They can be had quite cheaply and double as somewhere to park yer bum when not catching :)

Just a thought
