Corydoras - Staropramen can be bought in bottles from Sainsburys, £10 for three four packs...nice

Tyke:

Where can i buy Jenlain's dark beer (bierre brune). ?

do they sell it in the supermarkets?

I think I have seen it in Tesco.

The problem isn't what people don't know, it's what they know that just ain't so.

Nearly time for the pub :)

Someone mentioned light and Bitter.when I was a yougster in Oxford (35 years ago) EVERYONE drank light and bitter.I had not heard of it for years.

Now I drink real ales( usually Pedigree) straight from the barrel in my local.

If I buy bottled beer it is usually pedigree,Hobgoblin,Tanglefoot or similar.Less than £1 a pint from Costco or Pikwik.

Bottoms up!

I used to drink Holstien Pils but it used to make me ill after 12 bottles and I never could seem to make it downstairs to the "God phone"!(thanks Mum ) I now, some 20 years later stick to beer (current favourite is Wells's Banana Bread Beer) :D

Have you tried Jenlain's dark beer (bierre brune). Now that is stonking stuff. A real treat for all my fellow real ale lovers. You will never believe it is French when you taste it. It is fron the north of the Pas de Calais, a part of France where beer drinking is common. They even still sell beer in pints in some bars.

Sadly no, but Perlforth ( think it has a pelican or penguin on the label) yes, and it was truly wonderful!!!!!! :)

Pelforth is the one with the Pelican. Jenlain has a very similar taste, although as Graham X said it is a bit on the sweet side.
