I've been tied up with health and family issues for a while so other than looking in now and again I've not been actively posting on the forums. Upon my return people have said how quiet it is here now. I think Facebook and twitter account for a lot of that. I have to say i feel I've come home!

 

Newer members will not understand what I'm on about but there may be a whole heap of 'lurkers' that do. Soooo where are you, how are you and what are you up to?

You've not missed a lot Lyn! I look at stuff when I get notifications but rarely just visit anymore and certainly don't post much now. Trouble is Ive given all my opinions on anything interesting over the past 15 years and have nothing much constructive to say! in fact all I have is negative things to say so simply don't! I no longer feel the need to answer/offer advice on most of the things asked here as there are plenty of others who can do so quite capabley.

 

As a lot of the guys on here who do give me food for thought either by suggesting new ideas or challenging old ones don't post as much then coming on here is more about just keeping in contact these days!

 

Maybe as Lyn suggested recently a revival of the Fish Ins and Teach Ins would help?. Used to be a big part of both AN and the Forum.

Den Ive said it before but its worth saying again........when Im asked now what I would really like out of angling ie a new PB or new bit of tackle or acsess to a new venue I simply reply that if I could be half as keen still now as you are after your long career I would be more than happy.

And thats my "non indicative opinion"!

Thanks for that Budgie :) It seems that over the last few months, all the "good" things I have done over the years are coming together and I am meeting lots of people who remember :) A bit embarrassing at times when the praise is heaped on in front of a small crowd (totally unexpected by me)

 

I now fish with a guy who reckons I am a genius :kissing: and keeps telling everyone we meet...........he is a lovely fella though :)..............totally correct though :) and it's guys like him that help keep me going especially up those steep shingle beaches.

 

Still using the motorised trolley, I call it my electric Zimmer frame :clap3:

 

Like you, I don't have a lot to offer these days, but I do look in almost every day.

Glad to hear from you Den and that you're still casting the odd worm or two! I've been doing some sea fishing and enjoying being back on the salt water but still casting a line after those barbel! lol
