Can't get in !

I have bought wheatsmum her own computer at a bootsale and can't get into it.

It keeps putting the previous owners name and asking for a password! OS is Windows 2000

 

What do I do?

have you tried started in safe mode? Holding down F8 when starting up, then selecting safe mode.

 

Then accesing the control panel and user accounts. You might be able to delete it from there.

Dunc - Still won't let me log in. It's still demanding a password.

Does it not display some kind of Administrator account on the login screen, which you can use instead?

Trouble is - can't even get in to download it!

Won't load anything until it has password!!!

The best thing to do is set the boot sequence to look at the floppy drive first, then use a diskette with the format.exe file on it to format the drive.

You don't want any of the previous owners stuff anyway, do you?

 

What OS do you want to put on it?
