Trojan won't go away

I have removed this Trojan every day for the last 4 or 5 days using AVG, consigning the thing to the vault.

Dropper.Delf.3.L

It keeps coming back after the machine has been running for about 1½ hours. Any ideas why and where it is hiding?

I think you will find the trojan is put into your system by a program called SynchroAd......

Have a look in your install/uninstall software folder in control panel.

If synchroad is installed delete it and find the folder for it probably on your C drive and possibly called something temp.

delete that as well

restart comp and rescan for virus.

Found and deleted SynchroAd prog but not all files in temp would delete and a new one was added on re-booting.

Thanks for the info will persist with it and hopefully eventually get rid.

Are you using XP Mick?

If so then you have to take the action I have detailed, and scan your system for other trojans/virus/variants AFTER you have disabled the system restore programme.

go to start....

settings.....

control panel.....

system.........

system restore.......

click the box that says turn off system restore on all drives.........

restart.......

delete the suspicious prog.........(also check C: for any suspicious note pad files)

run your virus scan..........

follow instructions to remove all sus progs.......

restart comp..........

enable system restore...........(same as before)

you will be ok now..............

lots of the virus/trojans hide in the system restore.........

the only way to get rid of it is to disable this before destoying/disabling them.....

this will work ok now.
