Wingman Extreme Joystick

Anyone know how many axis this has, I've tried to add it to the configuration window, but havent a clue. When I try to take off in my plane, everything, i.e. guns,throttle,etc, all work, but it wont lift off the ground...what do I ACTUALLY need to add in to the configuration window,i.e.2 button 2 axis etc etc ??? Or is the stick too old ??? do i need a new one???If so, any recommendations....

hmmmm, not sure whats going on there. I have the wingman extreme and it worked straight after the configuration. Did you get the configuration menu up when you installed?

Hi Sean, I got this from a mate, and no, I had to manually install it, tho' I have XP pro as an o/s.

I just checked.. see if you go to Add controler, Wing man extreme is on the list Norrie

Thats the kiddie, add the controller using the option in windows control panel and follow the onscreen instructions. I will set up all the axis on the top hat and main controller and throttle.

Hiya, Did all that, cheers, but it seems that i need a new Stick, the POV is all over the place....BTW, I take it thats the grey rubber botton on the top of the stick, if so, then this ones knacked...new one tomorrow...

if its grey you probably have the older version. The new one works fine for shooting down the hun. Chocks away!!

In the config menu of FS you can test the joystick (calibration) then you can see whats working & whats not.

I have to have a program installed under W98 to use mine (shows in taskbar) if not everything is tits up! (look at Logitech site)

Sean, Tog, thanks guys, as you say, it is the older "grey" one, just got a new Saitek one ,off ebay...superb too. And it works perfectly....but...I now need OpenGL, I can find the site, but dont know how to download it.any ideas???...I have now got myself the Medal of Honour series....Magic..

Hiya, Got it all sorted, went to the MS FS site and downloaded patches for the games.....all fixed now,Thanks for the help guys...now,I have a prob with Norton.....New topic I think.
