Leave it alone !

Cheap plastic body and cheap lenses.

I know ... I bought one !!! :(:(

Far better off going for something like a Fugi Finepix with metal body, which you can pick up for around the same price.

The Older I get .. The better I was.

I agree that things aren't what they seem with digital cameras. In particular don't get swayed by extra megapixels unless you intend doing big enlargements. The quality of the electronics and software is much more important, as too is the lens.

Have a look at this old thread: http://www.anglersnet.co.uk/ubb/ultimatebb...t=000006#000039

The latest version of the Canon A80 I recommended is the A95. Both have several features that are very useful for fishing that most of their rivals don't. See the above thread for further details of these features and also links to price comparison sites. The main differences between the A80 and the A95 is that the latter has a bigger screen plus it has 5 megapixels. The price of the A95 is a little less than the item you enquired about.

There are many sites that don't accept advertising and so have unbiassed reviews of digital cameras. You can find a selection on search engines but my favourite is www.megapixel.net These may help you find the camera that's right for your requirements rather than mine.

For accessories such as cases, compact flash cards, batteries and chargers www.7dayshop.com is very competitive and also worth checking, although I haven't yet used them. They also have the Canon A95 in stock at £177.

The great thing about lots of megapixels is the ability to crop and still get a great image.

As Steve says lots of megapixels can create a huge image which is fine if you get a really good shot and want it printed.

A friend has the A95 Steve mentions and it really is a great little camera.
