Just seen some replacement windows berk with a very sad receeding mullet on the telly - shouting at me to buy his windows with that haircut!

Seems real mullets like rather sh@ty places which rather wories me as I like to eat e'm!

Lolop in loads of groundbait / chummy and you'l soon have some customers - hooking them - now that's another question!

That Morrissy bloke who likes to shag other peoples trout faced birds used to carry a decent example.

So Micheal Boltons infamous receeding mullet don't count either then?

Pound for pound, I would have to say yes. Hooking a 6lb mullet is a bit like getting tangled up on the back actor of a JCB   :)

Had my first mullet of the Summer yesterday, 4.5 pounds. It was in the net in 5 minutes on 3lb. line, no big runs, just a dogged fight under the rod tip. This I find is about average for this size of mullet. Still love fishing for them though.

Thick or thin lipped?

The problem isn't what people don't know, it's what they know that just ain't so.

Thick or thin lipped?

.....thick, although saying this, I've only caught a few thins and am no expert at identifying them. I'm just assuming that when you see a shoal of maybe 20 fish all between 3-5 lbs. then they're going to be thicks, aren't they...?

Would you get thins & thicks mixing in the same shoal, or does anyone have an easy way of IDing them, without seeing the two side by side? The book I have seems to say the only major difference is the thick has 2 rows of "warts" on the top lip, the thin has only one.
