the petzl tikka is a good reliable little lamp, and if you want to spend a but more, and get a better unit, the innova 24/7 is my personal fave, it's a cracking little light, i got one on ebay for about 30 quid

Here's the one that I 'won' on ebay for the princely sum of 1p. Carriage and insurance from Hong Kong put the total cost at about £8.50. But its a powerful 17 LED light on full power and was extremely good value. Arrived in seven days, had no problems with the seller. Nice piece of kit.

does it still work gerry? i got one very similar to that for a similar price and it wasn't made very well, so i stck it in the garage and bought the innova which is much brighter and built like a tank. as i spend most of my working life in the dark i expect more of a torch than most!

Jeeps, it still works very well after a week or two. Find my way along the river bank with ease on fullpower in pitch dark. On low power and angled downwards its perfect for rebaiting. My old one (argos) started to lose LEDs very soon after I bought it. The guy also has a 20 LED version for just a few pence more.

i have one with three LEDS either 2 on or 3 plus a "normal light",wich i hate cos it sods my eyes up in the dark  much prefer soft "blue" light wich teh LEDS give off.

paid 25 nicker for my one,its called LED head light! i post a pic later, had a while LEDS are fine,as is original bulb.

I use one of our 3 led headlamps, under a tenner, and identical to about 20 of the leading brands own 3 led bulbs (I swear the lot must all come from one factory in Taiwan!).

Again though, I'll echo the statement above that LED lamps seem better for night fishing than ordinary 'DIY' type headlamps (£5 jobs).

just dug mine out of the garage, it's 6 high power LEDs and one standard bulb for lower power lighting, you can use one, three or all six of the LEDs or the standard bulb. if you want it dave, name a price, i reckon it's worth what i paid which if i remember rightly about a tenner
