EA guy just been speaking about it on radfio Berkshire about 4000 mainly juv Roach and dace with some Pike and Perch along with oblig bleak,,,,,won`t be the only place on the Thames this happens or the Kennet come to that fish stranded with a dropping river

As long as it isn't happening several times along the stretch ,but yes agree not a massive number all in all

Phew - glad it's not a major problem. That kind of thing must happen quite a bit I suppose? No big fish in there, I guess they behave differently.

 

Bright side - hungry big perch?

And those who were seen dancing were thought to be insane by those who could not hear the music

At least rather than a chemical spillage wiping out thousands of fish, this is a weather-related incident and part of the ebb and flow of nature.

 

No doubt the country's eco-system has survived thousands of shocks such as this over the last few thousand years.

 

Still a shame though
