Lessons From The Lure Tying Master

Recommended Posts

went to snatcher's van this pm

the tack4's were going to get a lure tying lesson

Caitlin patiently watched as Snatcher demonstrated the art and my eyes were glued to every turn of the master's wrist and every tuck here and cut there

Caitlin was first to embark on a lure

the noise levels assosciated with my two kids was totally absent as caitlin concentrated and kyle was having a go at suduko for the first time

she was nearing the end of her lure and oblivious to the camera

when she was done she was so proud :D

My go under the watchful eye of the master went ok

Kyle swapped roles with Caitlin and began his instruction

he started slowly and with gentle hints and helping hands continued

again silence reigned

nearing completion

Your kids (and you) will be so happy when you get a fish on the lures you tied yourselves, can't wait for that report :D .

It's great that you are getting the kids into fishing (even if they do keep doing better than you :D )

I've been to Scrabster... and I want to go back!!!

Really enjoyed the lure tying session this afternoon. All 3 "apprentices" were very good and picked it up very quickly. Caitlin and Kyle showed great concentration and enthusiasm to the task in hand. In fact Caitlin was concentrating that hard she forgot to speak for a few minutes :lol::lol:

I am just hoping they catch fish on the lures they made before they get them snagged up and lost because it will happen.

Also tied up a brooch for Caitlin in Stranraers colours. She immediately popped it into her jumper and I got a lovely hug and kiss in way of a reward.

Well done Andrew and Tracy you have done a fine job in raising two brilliant kids :):)

Back over to the Mull again in two weeks so they may get an advanced tying lesson next time.

Well done tack4.misstack4 and littletack4 ;)

Thinking of doing a deal with Caitlin and Kyle - lure tying lessons in exchange for fishing lessons ;);)

Next lesson will be bodies, ribbing, tails and wings :o
