i tell ya what i did discover after running it was that it also cleared my go back safe points.

I use a couple of these but find that WinASO goes much, much deeper than any of the others. Out of interest, I ran WinAso after CCleaner (which only took moments). After 20 minutes WinAso had found 12 faults in the deep reg scan and 4 invalid files path.

 

After using either Easyclean or RegScrub, WinAso would detect abot 60 faults!

 

So WinASO may still be the hallmark but in terms of speed there's no comparison. Methinks I'll follow Newt's lead and dump the others.

I've seen an occasional first run on a large drive with lots of stuff take a long while.

 

Remaining runs should be much faster. I'm not absolutely positive what the app is doing on that first run but thinking maybe it is 'learning' the system or something. The first time on Jan's PC took quite a while. Subsequent ones have been fast.
