Not suprising really, would you pick up a teapot full of hot tea and no handle??????

 

He had been making pots with and without handles. The handled pots were discontinued first and now the non-handled. You would need to use a cloth to keep from burning your hands. The potter hasn't made these in a number of years. He happened to have the last one out, quite dusty it was, and Newt took interest. Our next trip we didn't see it at all. My last trip to photo more of his pottery, I saw the pot and took pictures for Newt.
