Hi all

 

ive got this little ornate thing and im wondering what its use was/is??

 

it seems to be decorated with some kind of lead colour metal with a sculture of a women in a large shell and it has this telecopic handle and also some kind of hole in the top where another peice fitted(some kind of spire or something(mini spire or symbol)?

 

its a common design ive seen allot but all i know is that its an old design(not saying the wierd thing is old:)its probably not!!

 

im just wondering if anyone has seen one???

 

help me out its annoying me:) :D:huh:

Hi all

 

ant,if it wernt so small id say it would make a cool priest:)

 

its about 2.5inc when folded in, and near the same fully extended =5inc

 

its a wierd little thing i just get drawn too(gotta find out what it is as its bugging me:)

The woman in the shell suggests Venus, the goddess of love. I reckon it's either a lady's razor with the blade section missing, or a device for "curing" venereal diseases....

Hi all

 

davyr the hole in the end is a pin prick size hole so it would be hard pressed to have a razor attachment:(good ideas though

 

and yep its venus cheers i was having a div day:)cheers davyr was on tip of tounge:)

 

as for venereal,it doesnt smell:)hehe
