My boat is needing a rewiring and a general overhaul, but my problem is i have no boat trailer for it for when its on dry land, and im certainly not attemting it whilst afloat, its stopped my fishing for the last few months as the batterys keep running flat and the bilge pump wont work :(:(:( wiring is knackered!

So my question is does anyone have or know of a trailer for sale for a 23ft boat, or possibly hire one for a month??

Based in scotland but willing to travel, cash waiting??

Your best bet is to build a one off using a wagon or van axle and a length of 4x4 box section. Assuming you dont want to put it on a road just get it out of the water. The best you coud hope for as far as hiring one is to use a car transporter and some wooden chocks as the water drops away but the rental charges are huge.

The other alternative would be to get it lifted out and put on a dry berth thingy whilst you do the work.

If the hull is fairly flat you can use a car trailer, done it a few times with a few tyres under and once with two old mattress's from the dump.

You can drop her on & off the trailer quite easy onto tyres if you have the motor off to reduce the weight.

Jealousy: totally irrational anger directed at people who happen to be richer, prettier, thinner, cleverer and more successful than you are.

Mate of mine is working on a boat at the moment and got a generator from Makro for silly money!

I can't remember if it was £49 or £99, but I do know he's running his sander and hi-fi off it at the same time quite happily!
