Looks good danno but you're far braver than me when it comes to making holes in a yak, how did you secure those screws on the mounting bracket and socket, surely you couldn't get any nuts and washers inside the hull ?

 

You're also far more technically minded than me by the looks of it. It is food for thought though.

The mounting bracket has a spreader plate on the inside and held by stainless steel bolts. I used my young sons small hands to reach inside after i had removed the rod holder. Cutting holes in a yak isnt a problem as long as you think twice and cut once. The first couple can be a bit nerve wracking but after that its easy.
