Thanks to Mr Wiggly for showing me layers, I'm now like a kid in a sweet shop, this is my first attempt, as i normally use photos as taken.

wow a stark difference between to 2, it looks kool!

 

i'm in no position to comment really as i've no idea about layers n stuff (yet) but it sure looks like your getting to grips with it and best of all it looks like your having fun!

At the end of the day it's what the picture does for you .. and whether you are happy with it.

How about using "crop" tool to get rid of some of that boring background above them. ?
