I'm from Canvey, essex (look for Southend on the map, Canvey's so small they don't even bother putting us on!) If you fancy loosing loads of gear, and catching nothing (or a very very small bass) come to this great hoilday resort.

I fished the Lobster Smack a few times, with little result, but one really sunny spring day at low tide, my mate and I caught 4 codling to 5Lb here! Fishing is a funny sport.
