I saw the inflatable ones advertised in Boat Fishng Monthly too. It depends what they are made of - if they are Hypalon, like the labrador toilet paper, they will be soft and very strong, last you for years. If they are PVC they will scratch your paint and crack in a few years - especially being folded up on a regular basis. How efficient they are at carrying stuff? A kayak isn't that heavy. The only trouble is fixing them through the middle of the car - you have got a strap going across at head height. Or is there a diffrent fixing on these?
