It's getting towards 'the time'

November! still seems later than it used to be. I remember standing in the river end of September with two pairs of tracky bottoms on inside my waders and the banks having frost on them in a morning.

 

 

Yeah, I remember going out for bunnies with the terriers,shotguns and ferrets in September and the puddles where allways frozen over.......those where the days...

Ah! Winter fishing - fishing with maggots for BIG fish!!

 

Having the water almost to yourself!! Catching Perch, Rudd and Roach and not quite believing the size of the fish you are catching!

 

I don't know which season I enjoy more, but I'm leaning towards winter!!

hi i second the fishing on your own, i will be late carp then on to barbel and bream later on to pike, i think summer gets to busy around the waters if you know what i mean.

The colder months definately seem to sort the mens from the boys so to speak but probably harder for me as I'll be in 'competion' with all the pikers that hit the banks from October onwards.
