Went out for a couple of hours off Exmouth ,and took the fly gear out.

Had some great fun with some very nice sized Mackerel, some small

Pollock, and had two Bass of about 2 2/12 pounds.

Was using "Clouser Minnows"

Both Bass were caught very close in.

Nice couple of hours. :)

NIce one Yakety. Which boat is best for fly fishing? Im guessing the P13.

Fished since 2003, the rest of my life I just wasted.

Hi Darnsarf.

Cheers mate.

Your guess was good, the 13 is o.k.

However, I realy miss my Scrambler XT, now she would be the ultimate......well.....for me anyway :D

So much room and comfort comes with her.

I tried the new Scrambler XL, very nice too, but the XT still has the edge.

She would be my first choice for Fly fishing.......no question.

Might have to get another XT :headhurt::huh::wallbash:

Knew I shouldnt have sold her :D

Anyone want to buy a Prowler 15 :D:D:D

Cheers me dear.

Bill. :)

Nice one Bill.

As for kayaks you must have had all the yaks in all colours and all the sizes by now .

But I have to say that a nice pink yak would kind of suit ya . IF .... you know what I mean :):):P

Nice fish Bill - yet to catch a bass this year - I lost a good one on the fly out in Sardinia this weekend - took me round some granite rocks and that was the end of the leader. I was in the Prowler 15 and found it fine for fly casting - why don't you like it? It paddles brilliantly - dealt with some serious wind (50 knots while I was out and rose to 80 knots by the time I got ashore - bloody Mistral. It did for the entire tournament really). I was out in some 2m waves too - but couldn't fish, just playing and demoing for Ocean kayak Italy. Very nice kayak the 15 - and no more difficult to handle than the 13 - I carried mine down in one and each morning and back up again in the evening - and got it on and off the roof ofthe 4x4 single handed. Can't complain at that. One thing I did find though is that the seat is not as comfortable as I am used to. The Scupper is just SO comfy.

Tope this weekend - i can't wait. I shall also have a go for a bass.

Are you coming up? About 15 so far on the roll call.....

Hi Bill,

I know I shouldn't be contemplating more expense but I'm very interested in the fly fishing angle.

This is one I got last week 50cm on live sandeel off the cliffs near me :)
