My First grass carp!

Feeling rather pleased with myself this evening, Managed to add a new species to my list, Complete fluke of course, I was floatfishing with sweetcorn hoping for a tench

 

Weighed in at 11lb 7oz

Surprisingly not, for such a powerful looking fish the fight was decidedly on the pathetic side! certainly nothing like the fight you'd get from a king carp of similar size! More like what I'd imagine a bream of similar size would feel like!

LOL yes I posted about the same fish in the BDAC section on Essex-fishing

 

not a bad result for my first vist to a BDAC water! looking forward to trying out a few more of them now, maybe I'll even find where BDAC are hiding all thier tench soon too!
