That abu one looks interesting, might be just what I am after. Will have a look online fpr it. Had a look in my local fishing shops, but they are much more carpy in their equipment.

Have a look at the Shakespear 7242 Glider 2 range of nets!! Just got myself some today and they are I have to say looking PRETTY good!! AND the price is right too!!! Handle on the 2 section is only 1500mm (5 ft)

5ft but net is a good 600mm (2 Ft) and it FEELS pretty substantial!!

For a LONG handle I personally do not think you can beat the ULTIMATE put together with a BIG stick!! LIGHT strong and durable!!

It is to be observed that 'angling' is the name given to fishing by people who can't fish.

If GOD had NOT meant us to go fishing, WHY did he give us arms then??

(If you can't help out someone in need then don't bother my old Dad always said! My grandma put it a LITTLE more, well different! It's like peeing yourself in a black pair of pants she said! It gives you a LOVELY warm feeling but no-one really notices!))

I use a 30" spoon net, with mixed mesh. It was originally, I think, supposed to be a Lure Fishing net, as it has 1/2" mesh on the sides, with 1/4" mesh at the bottom. if my memory serves me right, I got it from a well known angler at Go Fishing (at the NEC) in 1999. It's still going strong, so I reckon it's about right for the roving style I adopt, as well as my lure fishing.

The handle is a Drennan Super Specialist, 3m telescopic, with "twistlock". This allows you to extend it antwhere up to the 3 metres, and lock it at that position. Very strong handle and very good value. No compaints at all.

Have a look at folding Trout nets. I have one that extends from 50cm to 80cm at the touch of a button, the net arms then extend at the same time. Sorry don't know where it came from as it was a gift.
