When Lord Baden Powell (founder of the Scout movement) was a soldier operating "behind the lines" in the Transvaal, he used to tie up his jaw before going to sleep, to avoid giving away his position by snoring.

(Or so he claimed). :)

Hi all

try laying in the bath flat as you can on the bottom totally submerged and relax(take a nice unstrained breath before )and think of a happy time or something(get fixed on that and not on the lack of air you have)a daydream state

i got 3mins out of it thus keeping breathing slow and quite:):)

good fun too

dont know if it helps snoring but maybe:)

Well, I suppose it beats putting a ligature round your neck and suspending yourself from a beam, but the process is pretty much the same (euphoria brought on by oxygen deprivation). Not a few people have died trying that sort of thing...

BTW, have you got a very big bath, or are you about 4' 10"?? :)

I don't snore. There again I dont sleep too well either and I'm told snoring usually only affects deep sleepers.

I'm told snoring usually only affects deep sleepers.

Not so:

"Snoring associated with sleep apnoea is least likely to occur in stages 3 & 4 (deep sleep)"

"Conventional snoring is most likely to occur in stages 3 & 4 (deep sleep) & also likely to occur in stages 1 & 2"
