Fishing tomorrow

Gonna go fishing (first time since new season) tomorrow on a real small river, well more of a stream even if that in a park known as "The Gunge". Tis a horrible little park and the "river" aint much better really but holds lots of Gudgeon, Minnows and Stickleback so shall have a bit of fun with them for an hour or two before hitting the Thames at Richmond on Sunday.

To give this thread any sort of a chance of a reply... Whats everyone else doing this weekend?

Hi Bungral

I have just joined a local club,

so going to try one of their waters called Isle of Man Lodge.

New venue, new rod, new tackle and nice weather forecasted.

i'm looking forward to it

I'm gonna have a couple of hours down my local duckpond today too...again first time this year.

Luckily it's only a 5 minute walk so i just take a rod, reel, small rucksack with essentials such as terminal tackle, bait and beer, landing net and that's it !!!!

Tight lines

Not getting the rods out this weekend but thats because i'm off to the Norfolk broads on monday for a short midweek break on a cruiser. Gotta love those rivers/broads . Hope to do some early morning/late evening dangling once the boat traffic has died down....peaceful bliss - hopefully B):fish::thumbs:

Good to see some one who fishes for the smaller speices.

Why everyone targets monster fish I don'tknow.

I would love to catch a record gudgeon and many times thought I had.

Used to rent a stretch of River Soar that once held the record.

The minnows would bent the tip right round and you would think you got a monster. :)

I am off to the Loddon for an evening session later. Monsters? no anything that puts a bend in my rod will do :)
