Younger daughter and boyfriend have announced their engagement.

Brenda wants the house redecorated before the wedding, and is looking at expensive Mother of the Bride outfits!

AAAaaaarggghhhhh!

Tell younger daughter there's 5 grand in it for her if they elope. Should sort it :)

Leon, I feel your pain!!!!

The £5K does sound like by far your best option.

we payed our £4 (or whatever it was back then) for the reg office wedding so i expect our kids to do the same.

one has so far (we did attend the wedding but our parents didnt attend ours) cheap as chips and good value for money still after 32 years ,many vast sums spent by some to look good to the neighbours have lasted far less ,i cannot see the sense in paying anything more than the cost of the bit of paper.

for 5 grand you could import a bevvy of worn out bar girls from abroad ,use some and send the rest out to work

same place as the bars from the poor mountain regions ,if they have them they will sell them and those ones are fresh (carefull though they sell them young !!ask mr glitter) girls are considered useless compared to pigs.

i think a bar girl over 18 is considered ancient the elder ones pay to work the bars. ;):D

Leon you tightwad.

Just circle Gretna on the map and leave a few quid petrol money with it. :P

That was the first thing I suggested!

The five grand deal sounds good, except I don't have 5 grand to spare :(

Maybe I should tune my guitar and try busking.
