is the hat obligitory

Believe NOTHING anyones says or writes unless you witness it yourself and even then your eyes can deceive you

None of this "the enemy of my enemy is my friend" crap it just means i have at least two enemies!

There is only one opinion i listen to ,its mine and its ALWAYS right even when its wrong

Its far easier to curse the darkness than light one candle

'is the hat obligitory"

In March (summer here) the temps can reach 45C (110F) and sunburn becomes a real problem. Loads of suncream and a hat is a requirement.

There is no shade, no hiding from the sun that rises at 5am and sets at 8pm. The temp was still about 37C (100F) at 11pm. Drinking lots of fluid is aslo required, about 6-8 pints of sports drinks per day.

:clap2: Is rum & coke regarded as a sports drink there?

Hi Stax,

How are those things landed from the cliff. Usng one of them grapple hook type things ike i've seen on rex hunt (and in one of your pics)? How do they work and where can I get one online? There are a few spots here where I could do with one of them as drop nets are difficult to use at them. I guess anything hooked is terminal though? No C&R?

Cheers

Yeah, the fishing here is beyond belief. I went fishing out from one of the Perth harbours on Boxing Day and had five Samson fish, all in the 50lb region. They are called Samson fish because of their strength - and don't they fight! I was knackered by the end of the day! But that isn't an unsual day if you are chasing sambos. They grow big - to over 100lbs - they swim in huge shoals and they are always hungry!

Spaniards and snapper are top eating so quite a few of them are kept for the table. I like to cold smoke Spaniards. They are even better than Scottish smoked salmon!
