Srink Tube

When making your own hair rigs, how important is the use of srink tube, As lately I have not been useing it and still catching carp. My rigs are staying togther still, So now, I'm unsure what it is really used for?

Easy, fast, safe, legal way to make a DIY bent hook if you use a bit of shrink tubing over the eye and extending onto the hooklength and then curve it toward the hook point a little while it is soft.

 

Otherwise, unless you are a major 'neat freak' who requires tidy on your rigs, I don't think it does much.

 

I'll probably be told how and why I am wrong by a dozen people though. :D

The only time ive thought about using it is on hard waters and had an idea of sticking weed etc to it to disguise the hook.

 

Never used it though!
