Yes it was end of April, it was freezing at night but warm in the day, you had the huge bream and some tench and me and rich had plenty of tench. Have you got a pic Terry, I'd love to see it?

And those who were seen dancing were thought to be insane by those who could not hear the music

I hadn't put the photos of the 2 bream on the web site purely as they weren't very good, even if the captures were. In fact the 18-07 was just a mat shot in the dark.

 

Anyway, here it is.

Well done on the new record Steve. :thumbs:

 

Even with the poor photography taken into account, it doesn't look to be in the best of condition unlike the other bream. What do you put that down to Steve?

 

Bream are generally in good condition and weigh well in Autumn and its been a while since it was last out, so I would think its a little hard to predict if its still growing. No?

 

Maybe your next record will be a healthier younger fish.

 

Think I've mentioned in the past about bream on other waters being less nocturnal in their feeding habits in Autumn (and winter). They can also be a little easier to track down at this time of year on some big waters with low stocks. So maybe interesting to see how your Autumn v Spring catches pan out long term.
