New record bream and big bags of autumn tench at Wingham

Having just posted the dates of the next Forum Fish-In I've just noticed I hadn't put the new 18-07 record bream on the latest news page of the Wingham web site. This has now been corrected. It's the second bream caught this autumn - the other weighed 17-08!

We've also had numbers of 9lbs+ tench, including big bags of up to 34 tench in a sitting, the most we've ever had in Autumn.

I've of course already posted about several monster carp to 54-12.

For more details of these and other Wingham catches this Autumn go to http://www.anglersnet.co.uk/fisheries/wingnews.htm.

I'd agree entirely with that comment Bob - Wingham is the only reason I've ever found to be tempted to relocate and become a 'Southerner'! :D Well, that, and easy ferry access to mainland Europe

I hadn't put the photos of the 2 bream on the web site purely as they weren't very good, even if the captures were. In fact the 18-07 was just a mat shot in the dark.

Anyway, here it is.

Obviously not taken by a professional photographer Steve...more like someone like myself LOL.

Still, I suppose the pic means nothing really, it's the fact that fish of that size are there to be caught that matters.

It will enable the bream to be identified though by the serrations on the tail. I just haven't got time to sort photos yet though.
