Any one heard of a water called the potteries or some thing along those lines?

Many thanks for any replys.

Anything more specific tony? The only thing that springs to mind is Hornsey Mere, which was near Hornsey Pottery, a tenuous link I know, but all I can think of at the moment.

Angling is more than just catching fish, if it wasn't it would just be called 'catching'......... John

If its BIG tench you want then try the brickyard fishery at Amotherby North Yorkshire, a day ticket water with a head of very very big tench and a reputation to match.

Its not far away from York at Amotherby near Malton
