He's got waders.. If they're neoprene I guess on this occasion he could wear his dry cag over them?

they are neoprene waders, how much are dry cag bottoms?

makes life easier once you see what other people have. No list to follow as people use lots of different bits.

I need to bow out here on the basis that I will (almost certainly) not be able to make it up for Tope Meet 2, 2006...

What do you need? I could guess but there are others that I know will give you better advice!

I suspect that they will come forward very soon!

Best wishes

Make your own lanyards for personal items from 2mm nylon cord.

Make your own paddle leash from 6mm bungy (from any chandlers or sail rigger) - you only need 2' and a either a small plastic clip or a bungy ball that is used for sail ties.

I have the khamsin trousers and I really like them, well comfy and keeps me bum dry when sitting in my private pool of water.

WWC stock them, if you get a chance to pop in there this week take a look at the new kayak that is coming in today. Only seen a picture of it but it looks a bit mad, well it would be as it's from mad river/wavesport combo.

I will know today if I am going to Tywyn this weekend, I got plenty of spare gear knocking about let me know what you need and I will see if I can help out.

1 on the lure is worth 2 from the bait.

I am off thursday so might be able to pop into wwc in the morning!

Should be able to make weekend but do not want to come unprepared.

Let me know if you are going and we may be able to sort something out if you want?

I've paddled the Scupper Pro for a very short time, but I have to say that I'm not a lover of her, you do feel like you are wearing her and she is not as user friendly as the Prowler 13 or 15, recovery after a spill can also prove difficult, there is obviously a knack to reboarding her, but this will need practice in the company of others.

I would not be happy to recommend the Scupper Pro as a suitable kayak for a first time or new paddler, especially those that are likely to spend most of their time fishing alone.

The only way for me to decide which kayak to buy would be to try as many as i can!

I am pretty fit and would have no problem jumping on after a spill.

You have a tarpon 140, what is your opinion of it?

I'd be happy to recommend to the Scupper Pro as a first kayak  After a few hours paddling for a newcomer in sheltered waters getting to used to her and practicing reentry I don't forsee any problems with it. In my opinion its a safer kayak than most - it performs well in the rough stuff and you can make headway against strong wind. Lots of newcomers in the States start off with the Scupper Pro.
