How do you cook Gannet?

I'm not sure how they cooked them, but the the inhabitants of St Kilda used to eat them.

The problem isn't what people don't know, it's what they know that just ain't so.

The Inhabitants of St Kilda must have been a bit sick of seabirds as food if each person was eating 115 fulmars a year! That does not even take into account the snack Puffins and roast Gannets!

Just off to bag myself a few gulls because I am feeling a little peckish if you will excuse the pun!

Live to fish!!

Used to eat guilemots all the time- Top Nosh. The breasts are the only bit worth bothering about they taste bit like chicken/herring/duck we used to fry them off or roast them.

Had gannet too a couple of times but they take more prep due to their size but roast they are fantastic sunday lunch.
