A question of priorities

Andrew Symonds (Australian cricketer) was sent home from Darwin prior to the clashes against the Asian nation after opting to go fishing rather than attend a team meeting.

Well, fishing IS important :D I've played hookey to go fishing many times

I remember a (possibly apocryphal) tale of Ted Dexter (Sussex Cricket Captain) telling the Sussex team to get some batting practice in for an important match next day.

While that happened, Ted went to the races.

Next day Ted made a century, and only two other Sussex players reached double figures.

There is some sort of anti-moral there somewhere.

G'day mate, Anrew Symonds has apologised to his teammates and the"hierachy" and still wants to get back into the team. Meantime, he has to undergo team psychology.

Cor, that' gonna be a REAL punishment, long interviews with shrinks etc...

I bet he would rather have lost a couple of days' pay.

I doubt he will again go fishing in "schooltime" anytime soon
