I think Rock Pipits are greyer than that and usually found around the coast. Tree Pipit? They're the ones that do this amazing "parachuting" song flight when they're coming down from a height.

Roosting is as good an excuse as any. :D

 

Rock pipit it is; it was right on the coast, only inches from the water feeding in with Turnstones just before it started preening.
