I will offer this collection of old-fashioned lures, in their special little cigar box which has a history of it's own.

The leather wagtail minnows are very effective - note the effect of a trout's teeth on one of them

Best fished with a greenheart rod !

PS the Monaco mini-coronas were excellent - they were made in India (!) I believe - dunno if you can still get them

Later - I've added another Devon minnow and put a reserve of £15 on the package. Antique lures go for ridiculous prices, but I hope someone buys these to use, so 30 bob a lure plus a free box sounds fair.

I've found something to donate, it's the tiniest fly reel I've ever seen, I forgot I had until I sorted through the trout stuff recently! Bought blind off ebay years ago to go with a little #2 brook rod, it turned out to be way smaller than I expected. It's a seriously cute little thing though and I expect somebody might want it, either to use for fun, to put in a cabinet for, erm, don't know, or best of all, to put next to fish in photos ;)

Is it smaller than this one ?

If so I might well bid - I need something that will make a bleak look impressive :fishing:

I can also offer a copy of "In Search of Big Fish" autographed by the author, (the late Frank Guttfield). In fair condition but the dust jacket is a bit tatty

Later, have just had a look at Amazon

6 copies on there (unsigned) at prices from £30 (no wrapper) to £117 !!!

So I think a reserve of £25 is reasonable

Steve - will those not attending be able to bid ? (as last year)

Will someone put a "reserve" on the various items ?

No problem with bidding if you're not attending.

I'm rushed off my feet at the moment but open to suggestions about reserves.

A couple of pics of the little reel below (I forgot to get one of the back but can do if anyone's interested):

It's never been used. If you want to bid remotely even if you're not coming to the fish-in, leave a note here - I can post it for free.
