Just looked on bramblemet and its gusting 30kts !

Was good to get out although I couldn't stay long and had to leave Phooey and Richi to it. Managed a couple of doggies myself.

My 8 ounce leads went flying down with the current - baits were on the bottom but may up the weight a bit next time. Will change my anchor trolley setup back so it now runs from bow to stern again. I don't think anchoring from the stern on a Scupper Pro in reasonable current & a bit of chop is a good idea - the back end already sits low in the water and it makes a potentially wet ride even wetter. The bow has a spray bar on it I'll take advantage of this next time I'm in similar conditions and will point her head on into it.

Looking forward to the next session - in the meantime there's quite a few tweaks I want to make to my rigging.

NO WAY !

It was lovely when we launched :) but as the evening wore on it started blowing a bit and the forcast on ch 23 was for F9 !

I stayed out until my bottle went and I upped anchor and headed for the shore.

It was'nt gusting 30 but it was the worst I've been out in and I had one really scary moment when a roller picked up the stern and tried to bury the prow about 200m out.

Richi said it was great fun :o

I forgot about that ship -- the only one which went past on our side of the green buoy - I guess the skipper was trying to make me poop my pants :schmoll::lol: .. it didn't work although my stern very low in the water nearly did.

BTW Richi I forgot to mention the seagulls you had taken interest in which were divebombing not too far from your yak. You may have thought they were after baitfish? - I'd taken a wave over the side whilst eating a jumbo packet of tangy cheese flavoured Doritos and the packet got drenched!

The seagulls liked them ;):D
