No TV so I've not watched it but why would anyone sign up for a show like this without going out and acquiring what is a fairly obvious set of core skills/

I presume that the object is to "win" is some way or other.

I think the object is to survive as a team, there's no individual knock-out - the people who have left basically wimped out.

I do suspect that they have deliberately chosen people with something to learn, though.

aw rowlocks, I forgot about this. I seen the first mens island one and wanted to see if any of the builders spat the dummy and left first. cheers Steve, for nothin

Women's one was funny. particularly trying to go in a straight line back to the temp camp. Seen it coming from a mile away.

as for not knowing how to fish, I suspect the producers wouldn't want anyone "in the know" to be able to just sit there bringing in enough fish for them to all sit on their arse and eat until the end of the show.

My thoughts exactly on the crabs!

Some of the participants are TV producers - they're in the same boat as everyone else, but they know where to point a camera.

Gorge rig was my first thought if i had to come up with something from nothing. Would also be keeping all th scraps n blood n guts for bait and setting traps.

When i seen the ants one found in a tree first thing that sprang to mind was the pupae and something ray mears done with some tarp with one edge folded over for shade. Whack the ant nest on the tarp and the ants scramble to get the pupae into the shade all nice n ready to gather for munching.

Looking forward to the womens island tomorr we get to see some ass.

Wouldnt mind having a go at this kinda thing but not on film. Who knows i might apply next year. Ye comin Steve ?
