Have a look at this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3wxWXgNW02w...ted&search=, these guys guys are absolute idiots, just look at the comments left for them on Utube.

I'm ashamed they are Scottish anglers, but i hope their types are getting rarer these days.

Paul.

P.S there are some sweary words so be warned, oh and feel free to leave some more comments for them on utube.

Should rename it Oiks Pike at Loch Hoppy

Man, if that was 30 year old footage then it may be understandable but surely we`ve come on a bit since then. Thank god they`re a dying breed.

nah you can see its new, most probably a few weeks ago as you can see from related videos hes got a new camera in 2006 then caught his last fish f 2006, probably caught that pike sometime this month

Well done,Hoppy, Mac, Mick and John.(Peter)(Magnus)

You surely know what you are doing.

But don't be afraid of a fish, I thought Jocks were hard men, clearly not the ones who fish Loch Oich.

M Finion aged 52?

John Docherty?

Ask someone how to land and handle a pike please. :(

Mind you they do practice catch n release looking at his troot video. :)

I think the main problem with these me is they are all pish heeds.

When i first watched it i was amazed the pike wasn't deep hooked due to the length of time he took to strike, i never timed it but i think it was over 40 seconds.....

I'm not sure what the guys doing in this one http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=07rbbcWcVYQ...ted&search= but i think he's disposing of his rubbish under the banking.

This kind of behaviour is one of the reasons i didn't fish Loch Awe last year (My favourite venue) as unfortunately there are still a few of these type of angler about. Another water close to me, Loch Venacher, is even worse.

i think it was his tackle that got stuck in it.

i went to ven last year and awe after. its a great place to fish ive been lucky enough not to have met any idiots there yet but i have met my fair share of them at lubnaig where trout & chr fishing is great but ruined by the amount of one day anglers. the bailiffs are great there, met the big guy with the realtree cap and orange beard, great guy but doesnt half talk to the cows come home which they literaly did

I have to say unfortunatly I don't think they are a dying bread.

You see this sort of thing all the time, I have to say normally kids, I always put them right, I have also unhooked fish for other anglers who were frightened of their catch, I always try and encourage better fish handling.

I have nearly had altercations on the bank a couple of times with angler’s mis handling fish.

What can you do! You can't get the message to all anglers, perhaps a poster campaign in tackle shops sponsored by one of the big tackle companies!!.
