:) I could spend hours thinking of asking what must probably be the same old questions you see time and time again. So to save all that and to help me get a head start in buying some suitable fishing kit to help me get going on the beach.......

What are the ten most valued items in your fishing kit?

Shore Fishing.

1. A good reel, a good reel will work on a bad rod but a poor reel will not work well on any rod.

2. Quality line, fishing as light as conditions and species allow.

3. The best quality rod you can afford to suite conditions, a 16' K2 is of little use over rough ground or fishing from cliffs

4. Shock leaders, remembering that whatever you attach the lead to must be of the same strength  You may laugh :D I have seen a 6oz lead being flung about on a 25lb trace with a 60lb shock leader

5. Sharp hooks and a stone to buff them up.

6. Good rod rest to hold all of that expensive kit, one with a bait tray is handy and helps to keep the rest stable.

7. If your like me a trolley to cart it all on or travel as light as possible.

8. A good stainless steel flask.

9. Good head lamp for night fishing.

10. A bloody good sense of humour :lol::lol: That is probably the most important bit of kit :lol::lol:

I fish, I catches a few, I lose a few, BUT I enjoys. Anglers Trust PM
