bulk line help

Phil Adams

Recommended Posts

I've been using Daiwa Sensor in 4lb and 6lb this season, and had no unexplained breakages with it. seems pretty reliable and good value for the price. I'm going to buy a spool of 15lb to fill up my baitrunners for a spot of piking after Xmas!

I understand Phil. Both of these last brands are pretty well known but not in your part of the world.

See a good bit of use on the professional crappie circuit where there's money on the line for winning vs. not winning. That's why the are offered in bulk for sale in an area where 4lb fishing line is considered a very, very light b/s.

At probably a total cost to you of £5 for the 3100 yards, the Mr. Crappie line is inexpensive enough that you could certainly get a spool and try it on one reel then if it didn't suit, bin it without breaking the bank. OTOH, if it did suit, you'd have one hell of a lot of line for a very small price.

It's no skin off my nose either way. Just a shame the UK suppliers don't offer you a bulk option in what seems to be a middle weight line by UK standards.

If you go for slightly stronger line, there are bulk Topline & TFG spools available here.
